Sing Choirs of Angels: Saskatoon Children’s Choir in Concert

SASKATOON, SK – The award winning Saskatoon Children’s Choir (SCC), under the direction of Artistic Director Phoebe Voigts, will be joined by a number of professional brass, string and percussion players from Saskatoon for its annual Christmas concert “Sing Choirs of Angels”.

The annual concert takes place on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 7:30 PM at Knox United Church in Saskatoon, and will feature the angelic over 120 choristers, with Michelle Aalders at the piano. On the program classical and contemporary choral music, as well as the choir’s stunning renditions of traditional seasonal favourites.

“We are delighted to be joined by so many Saskatoon’s professional musicians once again for this year’s concert,” said Voigts.  “Their presence not only enriches the selections on the program, but also creates a wonderful learning experience for our choristers.”

The SCC is a strong presence on the world choral stage. They have performed in France, Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic, China, the United States, South Africa, united Kingdom, Ireland and across Canada. Last summer they were awarded two gold medal placements at the European Choir Games in Magdeburg, Germany.
