4Cats Arts Studio – The Most Fun Art Studio Ever!

We offer registered classes, workshops, and parties for kids ages 3 -15. We have just posted our Winter Session classes on our website (www.4cats.com/saskatoon) , the session runs from January 7th to March 31st. We will be studying the very fabulous duo of Andy Warhol and Tamara de Lempicka in our Artist Focus classes. In these classes we will do 3-4 projects inspired by each artist, while learning about their life & works.

As well, we offer a Mixed Media class where students get exposure to a variety of mediums to create art including painting, sculpture, drawing, and clay work.

Finally, if any of your families would like, we can coordinate a session that works with their schedule. We would need a group of 4-7 kids who are within a 4 year age range.

If you have any questions at all about us or the services we offer, please feel free to call or e-mail us. Or feel free to swing by the studio we would love to give you the grand tour.

Thank you ever so much!

End of the Year Homeschool Fair 2012 – Saturday June 9th

Mark your calendars!

Have used homeschooling books you’d like to sell? Already thinking about next year and would like to shop for books and materials without paying shipping costs? Want to discuss a group learning idea or field trip opportunity?

Come on out to the 2nd Annual End of the Year Homeschool Fair

When: Saturday June 9th – 11am to 5pm
Where: Holy Covenant Church basement (1426 Alexandra Avenue, Saskatoon)

We will follow a similar format for used book sales that is used at the annual SHBE convention. If you would like to sell used books, please e-mail me (Kayla) at klarc.hunt@gmail.com – I’ll send you an identification number to put on your books. We won’t charge commission, but volunteers are welcome to help with the sale, particularly for set up and clean up.

Last year we had a discussion time for about an hour to talk about field trip opportunities and group learning experiences. I think we’ll plan to have this discussion time around 3-4pm so there will still be time for some used book shopping afterwards. If you cannot attend, but have information you would like to share, please contact me.

Pets needing good homes

Rosa, a very cute Guinea Pig, needs a new home because of our move. She is about 3 years old, and comes with a wonderful rolling cage and all accessories. Everything is free! We are also looking for a loving home for our 3 year old Terrier X spayed dog. She loves the company of people and other pets but would do best with a fenced yard, something our new rental will not have. Email or call me for more info (or to see a pic) Monteen at mdent@sasktel.net or 382-7670.

Advanced Screening of Popular Wizard Movie on July 14th!

In support of Kids’ Trek, we are arranging an advanced screening of the last in a series of movies. This movie opens to the general public on July 15th, but we are special! I’m not allowed to say the name publicly, but fans of this series will know which magic-filled event I am talking about. There will be a pre-event starting at 5:30, costumes welcome, door prizes, raffles, and 50/50 will be on site. Tickets are $20 per person (all ages) and include your 3D movie, the pre-event, a small popcorn, and a small drink. This event happens a day before everyone else will get to see it 🙂

This is an invitation-only event due to restrictions with Warner Bros. If you were not on the receiving end of my email and would like to see the invitation with more details, and the title of The Movie-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named (get it?), shoot me and Alice an email at clmquintin@gmail.com. Limited tickets are available and we are closing in on 100 sold already.
